Eleonora Giovannardi e Sara Marchesi are two Italian mums and skilled professionals living in the UK for years, who came up with the idea of sharing their artistic and cultural background as well as their strong passion for the Italian language with other families facing the same challenges in raising bilingual children.
They decided to start a charity aimed at organising ad hoc activities for Italian and bilingual children living in London, supporting their parents to pass on their heritage, tradition and culture through play.
Our sessions are filled with fun and creativity; we use storytelling, music and drama for a full immersion into Italian.
Our Charity
Talia e la Valigia delle Idee is a Registered Charity. Our charitable mission has been recognised by the Charity Commission since January 2019. Talia e la Valigia delle Idee is registered under the number 1181415.
Supporting children in their amazing bilingual (or multilingual!) journey is at the heart of our mission, but we do not forget mums and dads!
We offer parents a place to create a community: a space for discussion and support but mostly a place where they can have fun with their children.
